Sept 1 (Reuters) - Defensive end Michael Sam's bid to become the first openly gay player in the National Football League (NFL) looked even more remote on Monday when he failed to make the St. Louis Rams' 10-man practice squad.

Two days after being cut from the Rams' final 53-man roster for the 2014 regular season, and a day after going unclaimed on wavers by any other NFL team, Sam was still on the outside looking in.

The 6-feet-2 (1.88 m), 260-pound (118 kg) former University of Missouri standout became the first openly gay player to be selected in an NFL Draft when he was taken in the seventh round by the Rams in May.

But despite his success at Missouri, talent evaluators have said he might struggle in the NFL, perhaps too small to play regularly on the defensive line and not athletic enough to play in space as a linebacker.

Of the 10 players signed up by the Rams on Monday for their practice squad, eight had been members of their preseason squad before being cut in final roster moves.

The cameras followed, but the extra attention did not seem to faze Sam or his teammates. Veteran defensive end Chris Long noted rosters are always made up of players from different backgrounds. One by one, players said Sam was now part of their family.

After the Rams' first preseason game, a 26-24 loss to New Orleans, Fisher said Sam played "pretty well" but also made his share of mistakes. Sam, who was credited with one tackle and one quarterback hit in the game, emerged with confidence.

"You know, I can play in this league," Sam said. "I can play in this league."

Sam told his teammates at Missouri that he was gay before his senior year, and judging by the results it was no distraction at all. The Tigers made a seven-win improvement and tied the school record with 12 wins. Sam had 11 1/2 sacks and the lightly-regarded Tigers won the SEC Eastern Division, a huge step forward after going 5-7 during the first season in their new conference.

More than 100 coaches and players kept the revelation to themselves. Sam came out in February.

"If you look at our season, it didn't hurt us at all," recalled cornerback E.J. Gaines, a fellow rookie and former Missouri teammate. "If anything, it brought us closer."

Sam was lightly regarded out of Hitchcock, Texas, a town of about 7,000 along the Gulf Coast about 40 miles southeast of Houston. His first two years at Missouri, Sam backed up Aldon Smith and Jacquies Smith, both of whom are in the NFL.

The Rams drafted Sam even though they didn't need help at defensive end, where they have a pair of first-round picks as starters. The Rams were so well-stocked with picks, taking 11 players overall, they had leeway to take a shot. Fisher said Sam's value as a player "was off the charts."

"I'm determined to be great," Sam said at his introductory news conference, packed with reporters. "I understand that right now you guys want to make a big deal of it."

From the start, teammates seemed to like having Sam around. His energy was infectious and, if there were problems, they stayed behind closed doors. Publicly, Sam was just another late-round pick trying to make the Rams, which, like other NFL teams, held sensitivity training early in camp. The Oprah Winfrey Network put off a planned documentary on Sam, saying it would allow him to focus on his dream of making the team.

SMK Negeri 2 Adiwerna mulai dibangun oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia melalui proyek Pendidikan Kejuruan dan Teknologi Jakarta dengan bantuan ADB melalui LOAN ADB 1319-INO pada tahun 2006. Sekolah ini diresmikan oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Prof. DR. Ing. Wardiman Djoyonegoro pada tanggal 16 Mei 1997 dengan SK Pendirian nomor 107/0/1997.

Setelah diresmikan, sekolah ini dipercayakan pengelolaannya kepada Bapak Drs. Agoes Angkat Rahardjo sebagai Kepala Sekolah. Awalnya sekolah ini bernama SMIK (Sekolah Menengah Industri Kerajinan) Tegal dalam kelompok Seni dan Kerajinan. Beliau menjabat dari tanggal 01 Juli 1997 sampai dengan 30 Desember 2002. Pada saaat itu dibuka 3 jurusan yaitu Kriya Kayu, Kriya Logam dan Kriya Tekstil.

Pada akhir tahun 2002 terjadi pergeseran Kepala Sekolah, yaitu Kepala SMIK di jabat oleh Bapak Drs. Samsul Mutasodirin dan Bapak Drs. Agoes Angkat Rahardjo pindah tugas di SMK N 1 Slawi. Dalam masa kepemimpinan Drs. Samsul Mutasodirin SMIK berubah nama menjadi SMK Negeri 2 Adiwerna seiring dengan program kebijakan perubahan nama sekolah kejuruan oleh Menteri Pendidikan Nasional. Bapak Drs. Samsul Mutasodirin menjabat sebagai kepala SMK N 2 Adiwerna dari tanggal 31 Desember 2002 sampai dengan 07 Oktober 2007. Pada tahun pelajaran 2005/2006 SMK N 2 Adiwerna membuka jurusan baru yaitu Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan sehingga memiliki 4 jurusan.

Mulai tanggal 08 Oktober 2007 sampai tanggal 29 Februari 2012 kepala SMK N 2 Adiwerna dijabat oleh Drs. Parjana. Pada saat kepemimpinan Drs. Parjana yaitu tepatnya tahun pelajaran 2008/2009 SMK N 2 Adiwerna membuka Jurusan baru yaitu Multimedia, sehingga memiliki 5 Jurusan (Kompetensi Keahlian) yaitu Desain dan Produksi Kriya Kayu, Desain dan Produksi Kriya Logam, Desan dan Produksi Kriya Tekstil, Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan, serta Multimedia.

Sept 2 (Reuters) - Former U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will join investment bank Moelis & Co as vice chairman and managing director, the company said, adding that Cantor will also be elected to its board.

Cantor, who was defeated in June by a Tea Party challenger in a Republican primary election, will provide strategic counsel to the company's corporate and institutional clients on key issues, Moelis said.

"Eric has proven himself to be a pro-business advocate and one who will enhance our boardroom discussions with CEOs and senior management as we help them navigate their most important strategic decisions," Moelis CEO Ken Moelis said in a statement.

Cantor, the No.2 Republican in the House of Representatives, was beaten by college economics professor David Brat, who accused Cantor of betraying conservative principles on spending, debt and immigration.

Iraqi Forces Break Militant Siege Of Shiite Town

BAGHDAD (AP) Iraqi security forces and Shiite militiamen on Sunday broke a six-week siege imposed by the Islamic State extremist group on the northern Shiite Turkmen town of Amirli, as a suicide bombing killed 14 people in Anbar western province, officials said.

Army spokesman Lt. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi said the operation started at dawn Sunday and the forces entered the town shortly after midday.

Speaking live on state TV, al-Moussawi said the forces suffered "some causalities," but did not give a specific number. He said fighting was "still ongoing to clear the surrounding villages."


Breaking the siege was a "big achievement and an important victory" he said, for all involved: the Iraqi army, elite troops, Kurdish fighters and Shiite militias.

Turkmen lawmaker Fawzi Akram al-Tarzi said they entered the town from two directions and were distributing aid to residents.

About 15,000 Shiite Turkmens were stranded in the farming community, some 105 miles (170 kilometers) north of Baghdad. Instead of fleeing in the face of the Islamic State group's rampage across northern Iraq in June, the Shiite Turkmens stayed and fortified their town with trenches and armed positions.

Residents succeeded in fending off the initial attack in June, but Amirli has been surrounded by the militants since mid-July. Many residents said the Iraqi military's efforts to fly in food, water and other aid had not been enough, as they endured the oppressive August heat with virtually no electricity or running water.

Nihad al-Bayati, who had taken up arms with fellow residents to defend the town, said some army units had already entered while the Shiite militiamen were stationed in the outskirts. He said residents had fired into the air to celebrate the arrival of the troops.

"We thank God for this victory over terrorists," al-Bayati told The Associated Press by phone from the outskirts of Amirli. "The people of Amirli are very happy to see that their ordeal is over and that the terrorists are being defeated by Iraqi forces. It is a great day in our life."

State TV stopped regular programs and started airing patriotic songs following the victory announcement, praising the country's security forces. They have been fighting the militants for weeks without achieving significant progress on the ground.

On Saturday, the U.S. conducted airstrikes against the Sunni militants and air-dropped humanitarian aid to residents. Aircraft from Australia, France and Britain joined the U.S. in the aid drop, which came after a request from the Iraqi government. The U.S. Central Command said another airstrike on Sunday damaged a tank used by Islamic State fighters.

The Pentagon's press secretary, Rear Adm. John Kirby, said military operations would be limited in scope and duration as needed to address the humanitarian crisis in Amirli and protect the civilians trapped in the town.

The Islamic State extremist group has seized cities, towns and vast tracts of land in northeastern Syria and northern and western Iraq. It views Shiites as apostates and has carried out a number of massacres and beheadings often posting grisly videos and photos of the atrocities online.

The U.S. started launching airstrikes against the Islamic State extremist group earlier this month to prevent the insurgents from advancing on the Kurdish regional capital Irbil and to help protect members of the Yazidi religious minority stranded on Mount Sinjar, in Iraq's northwest, where U.S. planes also dropped humanitarian aid.

The U.S. also launched airstrikes near Mosul Dam the largest in Iraq allowing Iraqi and Kurdish forces to retake the facility, which had been captured by Islamic State fighters.

The U.S. Central Command said another airstrike on Sunday near Mosul Dam destroyed an Islamic State armed vehicle. The latest airstrikes, carried out by fighter aircraft and unmanned drones, brought to 120 the total number of airstrikes across Iraq since Aug. 8.

German officials said Sunday that their country would soon begin sending enough high-end rifles, anti-tank weapons and armored vehicles to equip a brigade of 4,000 Kurdish Peshmerga fighters battling Islamic extremists in Iraq.

On Sunday night, Iraqi police officials said a suicide driver rammed an explosives-laden car into a police checkpoint in Ramadi city, killing 14 people, including nine policemen. About 27 people were also wounded in the attack.

Ramadi, the provincial capital of Anbar province, is 115 kilometers (70 miles) west of Baghdad.

Hospital officials confirmed the casualties. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Virtual LAN atau disingkat VLAN merupakan sekelompok perangkat pada satu LAN atau lebih yang dikonfigurasikan (menggunakan perangkat lunak pengelolaan) sehingga dapat berkomunikasi seperti halnya bila perangkat tersebut terhubung ke jalur yang sama, padahal sebenarnya perangkat tersebut berada pada sejumlah segmen LAN yang berbeda.

Vlan dibuat dengan menggunakan jaringan pihak ke tiga. VLAN merupakan sebuah bagian kecil jaringan IP yang terpisah secara logik. LOS ANGELES (AP) The FBI said Monday it was addressing allegations that online accounts of several celebrities, including Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, had been hacked, leading to the posting of their nude photographs online.

The agency did not say what actions it was taking to investigate who was responsible for posting naked photos of Lawrence and other stars. Apple said Monday it was looking into whether its online photo-sharing service had been hacked to obtain the intimate images.


Lawrence, a three-time Oscar nominee who won for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook," contacted authorities after the images began appearing Sunday.

Naked images purporting to be of other female stars were also posted, although the authenticity of many couldn't be confirmed. The source of the leak was unclear.

"This is a flagrant violation of privacy," Lawrence's publicist Liz Mahoney wrote in a statement. "The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."

The FBI said it was "aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high profile individuals, and is addressing the matter."

"Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time," spokeswoman Laura Eimiller wrote in a statement.

Apple Inc. spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said the company was investigating whether any iCloud accounts had been tampered with, but she did not give any further details.

"We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report," she said.

Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead also confirmed that nude photos of her were posted online.

"To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves," Winstead posted on Twitter. Winstead, who starred in "Final Destination 3" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," wrote that she thought the images had been destroyed.

"Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this," Winstead wrote.

The FBI has investigated previous leaks of nude celebrity images, including leaks involving Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera and footage of television sports reporter Erin Andrews in a Tennessee hotel room. Those cases resulted in convictions.

How widespread the hacking of celebrities photos was is not immediately clear. Some of the images were quickly denounced as fakes.

Some cybersecurity experts speculated that hackers may have obtained a cache of private celebrity images by exploiting weaknesses in an online image-storing platform.

"It is important for celebrities and the general public to remember that images and data no longer just reside on the device that captured it," security researcher Ken Westin wrote in a blog post Monday. "Once images and other data are uploaded to the cloud, it becomes much more difficult to control who has access to it, even if we think it is private."

Private information and images of celebrities are frequent targets for hackers. Last year, a site posted credit reports, Social Security numbers and other financial info on celebrities, including Jay Z and his wife Beyonce, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher and many others.

Johansson, Kunis and Aguilera were hacked by a Florida man, Christopher Chaney, who used publicly available information to hack into the email accounts of more than 50 people in the entertainment industry.

"I have been truly humiliated and embarrassed," Johansson said in a tearful videotaped statement played in court at Chaney's sentencing in December 2012.

"That feeling of security can never be given back and there is no compensation that can restore the feeling one has from such a large invasion of privacy," Aguilera wrote in a statement before Chaney's sentencing.

BEIRUT, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Islamic State militants beheaded a Lebanese soldier who was one of 19 captured by hardline Syrian Islamists when they seized a Lebanese border town for a few days this month, a video posted on social media showed on Saturday.

The soldier, recognizable as Ali al-Sayyed, a Sunni Muslim from north Lebanon, was shown blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, writhing and kicking the dusty ground while a militant announces he will be killed. Another militant then beheads him.

Islamic State, which declared a "caliphate" in June in parts of Iraq and Syria under its control, has been cited as a major security threat by Western governments since posting a video in August of the beheading of U.S journalist James Foley.

The Lebanese army declined to comment, but security and Islamic State sources confirmed the latest beheading.

Hours later, the group posted a second video showing nine other soldiers begging for their lives, urging their families to take to the streets in the next three days to demand the release of Islamist prisoners as a condition to escape al-Sayyed's fate.

Earlier this month, several Syrian groups, including Islamic State and Nusra Front battled the Lebanese army after the arrest of rebel commander Emad Gomaa in the border town of Arsal. Gomaa is a Nusra commander who switched affiliation to Islamic State but remained popular among Nusra fighters.

The militants seized Arsal for five days before withdrawing to a mountainous border region, taking the 19 captive soldiers with them.

Most of the soldiers were taken by Islamic State militants while Nusra kept a few soldiers and a number of policemen.

On Saturday, Nusra released four soldiers and a policeman, all Sunnis, a source close to the group said. The circumstances of their release were not immediately clear.

Hallo saudaraku, apa kabar nih ? semoga baik yah. kemarin saya sudah menjelaskan tentang VLAN ( Virtual Local Area Network ) dan kali ini saya akan menjelaskan cara konfigurasi VLAN pada switch, oke langsung saja.

Cara Konfigurasi Basic Vlan Pada Router dan Switch Cicso - VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), menurut yang saya pelajari sekarang, fungsinya ada beberapa, diantara untuk security, untuk membuat beberapa network dan menghubungkannya antara VLAN satu dengan VLAN yang lainnya. Tetapi sebelum kita mengkonfigurasi VLAN, saya akan memberikan penjelasan bagaimana topologi yang akan saya gunakan pada VLAN tersebut. Lihat topologi yang akan digunakan di bawah ini, dan pada kali ini saya menggunakan simulator Cisco Packet Tracer.

Tapi sebelum memulai saya akan memjelaskan perangkat apa saja yang saya gunakan pada Simulator ini.
